Lavender-Infused Cleaning Spray

We are spending this week in the kitchen crafting up immune boosting herbal remedies, giving gratitude for the small things, moving our bodies (with an at-home yoga and meditation practice), taking online education classes, reading books and catching up with loved ones via video.

Stay safe, stay healthy, stay positive, stay home, and spread only love. Our team is working remotely and to support you, we will continue to ship out orders as long as we are able. 🌟

LAVENDER INFUSED CLEANING SPRAY //

This is a great all-purpose spray for cleaning hard surfaces such as counters, tables; doorknobs, floors, and bathrooms.

Ingredients:
2-3 cups white vinegar or hydrogen peroxide*
1 cup dried lavender flowers
2-3 lemon peels
20 drops lavender essential oil (optional)

Directions:
Step 1 (Prepare the concentrate):
Combine vinegar/peroxide and herbs in the jar. Use wax paper if using vinegar to prevent metal lid corrosion. Let infuse for one week in a dark place, shaking occasionally. Top off vinegar in the jar as needed to ensure herbs are covered. Strain the solution into a clean jar and store in a cool, dark place.

Step 2 (Prepare the cleaning spray):
Mix 1 cup infused vinegar with 2 cups water (or 1/2 cup infused hydrogen peroxide with 2 1/2 cups water).
Add lavender essential oil if you wish and shake.
Pour into a spray bottle for easy use.
Shake well before each use.

*Hydrogen peroxide is stronger and may be more effective for use during COVID-19 but it can be a bit harsh on skin so wear gloves when using and do not spray on fabric. Be sure to do your own research on what surfaces can be best cleaned with either vinegar or peroxide as some surfaces for each should be avoided.
